Our Chocolate Box Travel Series starts in January 2021 in our home state of Louisiana. You’ll enjoy flavors inspired by the city of New Orleans – also known as ‘The Big Easy’. Here you’ll enjoy flavors this city is known around the world for: King Cake, Creme Brûlée, Cafe Au Lait, and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Torte. This voyage also features some ‘lagniappe’ (that’s cajun talk for ‘a little extra’) such as: Chocolate Pecan Pralines and a Louisiana-themed cookie created by Mrs. ChezSlaughter – who, incidentally, was born in the Crescent City.

In February, we’ll step back in time and travel to the Belle Epoque period in Paris. There, we will explore traditional˜City of Love’ French flavors such as bon bons infused with almond-inspired fillings and ganaches with hints of fruit or liqueur.

Our Bon Bon Voyage ends in March on an imaginary train trip – work with me here: part of this Bon Bon Voyage is real while the rest requires a bit of dreaming – through northern Italy with stops in Milan for chocolate-dipped biscotti,; in Verona for truffles inspired by regional flavors such as hazelnut, amaretto and tiramisu; and finally in Venice for a delightful treat of Florentines (caramelized almond slivers atop a bed of chocolate.)
